AEW Fight Forever Gameplay Reveal Gamescom 2022
AEW Fight Forever’s new gameplay was revealed at Gamescom 2022 which showcased a match between Kenny Omega and Adam Cole. The game takes some inspiration and elements from WWF No Mercy and seems like an overhauled edition of it. Players get a momentum meter which they have to fill up in order to use their most powerful moves. As the momentum meter fills up, players can perform a taunt to go into a special state that allows them to use their finishing move. The gameplay seems to be based mostly on WWF No Mercy, so fans of the classic Nintendo 64 game will be pretty excited once they get their hands on AEW Fight Forever. The AEW Fight Forever gameplay was showcased over at Gamescom and was presented through a Twitch stream. We got to see Player Uno and Colt Cabana in action. Fans also got to see William Regal whenever a tutorial message shows up on the screen during matches.
Each of the stages is thoroughly explained and the various positions players might find themselves in. Players can perform special attacks, break out of pin attempts and escape from submission holds. This will help the players figure out how to play the game when it finally comes out. The game is a stark contrast to what we’ve seen in modern WWE 2K video games. It’s a breath of fresh air in the wrestling video game genre. But the graphical fidelity is not so much. From what we can see, AEW Fight Forever’s visuals don’t hold up well in the current era. It seems like a videogame from the last years of the PS3 if I’m being honest. The facial models of the characters don’t look all that well either, but the gameplay makes up for it. But that’s not all. We also got to see the different game modes for the game and saw some decent gameplay. So the question remains. When will fans finally get to play the game? It’s still a mystery as to when the game will finally be released. Hopefully, the title will come out sometime later this year. For now, fans can wait it out and hope for a release date in the coming weeks. But when it does come out, we’ll have to see how it holds up against the WWE 2K franchise. And that’s pretty much it for today’s news. We upload daily on Appuals so stay tuned for more. Till then, see you later and goodbye.
