Zen4 Based ‘Ryzen 7000’

No Price Increases

Allegedly, the flagship ‘Ryzen 9 7950X‘ is priced at $799. The slightly lower (performance wise) 7900X comes in at around $549. At just $100 less, you will find the 7700X at $449. For the budget segment, the R5 7600X which allegedly crushed the i9-12900K is priced at $299. Don’t fret over it too much because initial price listings are always this high. In comparison to Zen3 ‘Vermeer‘, we see no price hikes. Nice job AMD!

The initial launch lineup has been confirmed and features 4 SKUs 

Ryzen 9 7950X

The Ryzen 9 7950X is the flagship CPU from the Zen4 lineup. This CPU features 16 cores / 32 threads. This CPU has a base frequency of 4.5GHz where a boost clock goes up to 5.7GHz (F-max of 5.85GHz). The TDP is rated at 170W (~230W PPT). As for the cache, the CPU ships with 80MB of L2 (16MB) + L3 (64MB) cache. 

Ryzen 9 7900X

The lower-end Ryzen 9 7900X is powered by 12 cores / 24 threads. This CPU reportedly features a base frequency of 4.7GHz which can be boosted to 5.6GHz (single-core). The power consumption is rated at 125W (~169W PPT). As for the cache department, the CPU ships with slightly less cache at around 76MB (L2 (12MB) + L3(64MB)).

Ryzen 7 7700X

Moving on to the Ryzen 7 lineup, we have the R7 7700X. This CPU features a respectable 8 core/ 16 thread count. The CPU clocks at around 4.5GHz out of the box with a max frequency of 5.6GHz (Single core). This CPU will consume around 105W (~142W PPT) of power. 40MB (L2 (8MB) + L3(32MB) ) of cache will leave no stone unturned to deliver the best performance.

Ryzen 5 7600X

The budget friendly Ryzen 5 7600X delivers insanely fast multi-tasking performance with its 6 core/ 12 thread configuration. The base clock is at an insanely high 4.7GHz breaching the 5.0GHz barrier if boosted (5.3GHz boost). Being targeted for the budget segment, it does consume slightly less power (95W, ~129W PPT) while being powered by 38MB (L2 (6MB) + L3 (32MB)) of cache.
