Continuing the thread, AORUS then went on to give us a sneak peek regarding the performance metrics. The sequential write speed amounts up to 12,453MB/s whereas the write speeds are in the 10,000MB/s league. Now that’s what I call fast. If these speeds are kept consistent, within half a minute you can transfer 100 Full HD movies (~3.5GB/each).  The press release reads that the the SSDs will come in flavors ranging from 1TB all the way up to 4TB in terms of capacity.  As of now, there are no motherboards that support PCIe Gen 5.0, however, the upcoming Raptor Lake and Zen4 from Intel and AMD do include support for this technology. ~ AORUS via Videocardz AMD’s Zen4 is expected to arrive sometime on the 27-28th of September where an official announcement has been planned for the 29th of August. Expect Raptor Lake to be announced in the last week of September.
