This would be aimed at the developers working on password management. dubbed as the Password Manager Resources, Apple aims to create a platform that is worthy of the name. Currently, there are a number of password managers out there. Companies like Lastpass do the trick too. Even Apple’s proprietary iCloud Keychain is quite good. The goal behind the ultimate service platform is for the community to develop a password system that creates a very strong password to work with a variety of websites. Apple has therefore uploaded the sources on GitHub, opening it to all developers to work on. The data provided is aimed at certain goals of the entire ordeal. It is to provide integration and a simple, single platform. Apple added that there was a benefit for the developers as well. They would be able to increase quality with the increased work and research from all fronts. Websites may be incentivised to use some password setting standards with the integration of these managers. Lastly, as a bonus, there would be an increased level of trust in such password managers.
