They know it’s of no use right now in India. It’s not coming here anytime soon and hence, no crazy promotion.#AppleEvent #iPhone12 #iPhone12 pic.twitter.com/KhNhc2PpOk — Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) October 14, 2020 Now, in certain countries in Asia and the European market, there is no sign of 5G anywhere. This raises the question of whether these iPhones would even support the technology. Now, let’s look at it this way. Apple started the iPhone event, announcing that the new lineup of iPhones would have support for 5G all across the board. Not to mention, there was a presentation from the CEO of Verizon as well. A lot of features such as sharing the 10-bit video recording was based on the fast cellular 5G speeds. Now, since this is the case, why is Apple not providing these things to other countries. Well, as a lot of us know, 5G technology still seems like quite the gimmick. Even in first-world nations like the US, there is limited availability and there is no consistency to it. Meanwhile, a lot of countries like India do not have the service as till yet. Therefore, Apple didn’t advertise it as such because it is simply not relevant. Just to clarify though, all the new iPhones do support 5G and would run the network if it is available!
