The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor powers both the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate. This is for the first time that the company has shifted from its popular Snapdragon integration. The key distinction is that the Ultimate version has additional RAM and can be configured up to 16/512GB while the ordinary version is only available in 16/256GB which, in our viewpoint, is still adequate, although more storage is always preferable. Each ROG Phone 6D model has a 6.78-inch OLED display with 10-bit colour depth, a 165Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ support. The display is the same as that found in the ROG Phone 6 standard series. The back’s optics are also not changed in any way. In addition to a 50-megapixel 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0-micron pixels and an f/1.9 lens, the ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate also feature a 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultrawide camera, a 5-megapixel primary camera, and a 12-megapixel front camera. The ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate have enormous 6,000 mAh batteries and support up to 65W rapid charging through USB Power The Ultimate variant has a ROG Vision colour PMOLED display on the back, whereas the standard model only has an RGB LED ROG logo. Otherwise, the design is largely the same. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate has a special AeroActive Portal on the back, which is the major distinction in this case. This portal provides a direct route to the phone’s mechanical hinge’s internal cooling components. When you connect the AeroActive Cooler 6, it functions by elevating the assembly and creating an airway hence providing adequate airflow on high work loads. The ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate are also available in Space Grey, with the regular variant starting at £799 in the UK and the Ultimate variant asking for £1,199. Both versions come with the AeroActive Cooler 6 attachment.
