iPhone CAD Designs Leak?

As we all know, case companies tend to get a generalised mould for the device so that they can design their products in time for the phone launch. The article showcases some retrieved moulds for the iPhone series and tells us a better story on what to expect from the design. After all, everything is still theoretical and based on leaks and rumours. According to the photos of the moulds, the first striking thing is the boxy design. This is along the same lines we saw the iPhone 5 and 5S devices. These leaked moulds are based on CAD renders and actually show us all the four different sizes of iPhones we would be seeing this fall (hopefully). As we know, we would have two models for the iPhone 12 and two models for the iPhone 12 Pro. The notch seemed to be the same size but the article suggests that these moulds are just for dimensional purposes. Of course, these designs should be different for cases such as those from Otterbox, if the notch is set to change. Additionally, there was no change in the camera module either. This means that Apple would be following the same design on the back too. Currently, as the situation stands, we might not see much changes in the design for the iPhone 12 series. While there may be some minor changes and a boxy design, there isn’t much different here. This is somewhat disappointing given that the company has been recycling the same design since the iPhone X. Please Apple, pick up the pace, everyone is already in the future.
