Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Leak
A Call of Duty Dataminer over at Insider Gaming, who seeks to remain anonymous, broke the news. The data miner has revealed that the game will be featuring 16 campaign missions for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Currently, all the names are designated codenames and are likely to change once the game officially releases. For now, the only campaign mission currently mentioned officially is ShipAF which is known as Dark Water which Infinity Ward showcased in their gameplay footage.

The Campaign missions all sound pretty vague to us this time around but the most notable one of them all is Backstabbed. The backstab in question is one of the most iconic moments in Call of Duty history. In the original title, during the mission, Loose Ends, Ghost and Roach are betrayed by Shephard as they’re shot dead by him. Towards the end of the mission, while the duo are being soaked in gasoline and set on fire, we hear Price’s voice on Ghost’s radio warning them of the betrayal.
So, far a lot has been revealed about the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 ahead of its launch date. It was at the Call of Duty Next Event where Infinity Ward showcased the third-person mode for Modern Warfare 2. Something we haven’t seen since the original Modern Warfare that was released back in 2009. It’s been stated that the Third Person Mode will be presented as a modifier that the studio can activate in any multiplayer mode. If the mode becomes popular as in the original title, the mode might be permanently featured in the game. It’s also been noted that a potential multiplayer map of Modern Warfare 2 is missing from the fray. Infinity Ward removed all signs of the Grand Prix map from social media and news outlets and removed sneak peeks of the map. The multiplayer add-on was set to be featured in the Modern Warfare 2 beta but is missing from the game. We still have a lot to learn in regard to the upcoming Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
