Cyberpunk 2077 is the most anticipated game of 2020. It has already been delayed twice in the last few months. The initial delay was due to the development difficulties induced by the home-based working environment while the second delay was to iron out the rough edges and to optimize the game. During the conference, CD Projekt assured the investors that there would be no more delays for the game. They also talked about the heavy marketing campaign before and after the initial launch of the game. The representative of the CD Projekt specifically said, “19th of November is the only day we have, and we will deliver. I don’t see any chances to have another day.” It shows that the delays not only affected CD Projekt in the gaming world; their reputation in the eyes of the investors was also affected since it is the biggest and the most dynamic project by the studio. The studio also talked about how they were pleased with the number of pre-orders they have received. They did not disclose the number of pre-orders received, although they mentioned that they are in a sound position compared to Witcher 3 days. They updated that the final build of the game will soon be sent for the certification. The game is in the optimization phase, and it will remain here until lanch. Lastly, the game will be playable on the new consoles on day one with enhanced visuals and performance; however, a complete next-gen version will be released next year along with the DLCs and the multiplayer content.
