— Epic Games Newsroom (@EpicNewsroom) August 17, 2020 As we can read from the tweet above, Apple plans to disable and terminate all developer accounts for the Epic team from both iOS and Mac development tools. The company has taken serious action since they have broken the rules of the agreement and starting from August 28th, there will be no signs of Epic Games on the App Store. Now, Epic Games plans to take this case to the court in order to redeem themselves for this. Perhaps, that would have been valid if they hadn’t really broken the agreement in the first place. While it is true that the final product becomes expensive as we get it from the App Store but it is still an agreement the customer and the company registering enters into with Apple. We can actually see this in the comments from the thread as well that people are actually on Apple’s side. It just doesn’t make sense why Epic Games wanted a bigger piece of the pie from unfair means. Perhaps, once taken to court, we may see a change in precedence or an NDA to be signed between Apple and Epic Games. Long story short though, if you own an Apple product and love Fortnite too, this is a toughie.
