From what we know so far, there have been rumours in regards to three new Assassin’s Creed games being currently developed by Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Infinity is the main live-service title that will offer players access to the upcoming instalments in the series.

Voice Actor for Ezio Spotted Outside Ubisoft Montreal

We don’t know why Ubisoft is taking a live-service approach as it seems pretty confusing but considering it’s well in the middle stages of its development, it might be a solid approach. But then again, that’s for gamers and fans alike to judge when the live-service title hits the shelves. With that said, Ezio might make a return to the franchise as the voice actor of Ezio was spotted around Ubisoft Headquarters in Montreal. There have also been talks about a VR game currently in development as well as another new Assassin’s Creed title taking elements and gameplay mechanics from older iterations of the franchise. While there’s not much that’s been revealed by Ubisoft so far or confirmed for that matter, it seems to us that the legendary master assassin, Ezio Auditore might be making a return to the franchise. This one picture has led to widespread speculation in regards to the return of Ezio Auditore Da Firenze.

— Roger Craing Smith (@RogerCraigSmith) August 15, 2022 Roger Craig Smith, the voice actor for Ezio recently posted an image that suggests that he made a trip to Ubisoft Montreal. Imagine going over to Ubisoft while being the voice actor of a critically acclaimed yet retired character for an unbelievably famous franchise. Something is cooking! Ezio Auditore might be making a return to the Assassin’s Creed franchise. While a new role for the voice actor for Ezio isn’t out of the question, it wouldn’t make sense for Ezio’s iconic voice to be used for a different character in the universe that Assassin’s Creed is set in. Ezio’s story concluded with him dying in a market due to a heart attack in Florence. So the question begs, how and why will he be making a return? Will we get to see a younger, charming Ezio or the worn-out aged Ezio? There are lots of unanswered questions that we hope to get answers to from Ubisoft! Over the years, Ezio has been crowned the most popular Assassin’s Creed character in the franchise. The Italian master Assassin has been the only character to get to enjoy a full trilogy in the mainline titles, and his theme is still relevant in the modern Assassin’s Creed titles, years after the games featuring his storyline. Considering all the facts, and the logical conclusions surrounding this whole hot potato of a matter, we wouldn’t be overreaching here to imagine the character making a return to the franchise. However, Ezio’s story had come to an end years ago. It’s possible that the voice actor for Ezio might have gone to Ubisoft to be recording lines for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed VR game. From what we can gather, leaks in regards to the VR game do indicate the inclusion of Ezio, this could very well explain Roger Craig Smith, the voice actor for Ezio, being spotted over at Ubisoft Montreal. Assassin’s Creed Infinity has been rumoured to feature multiple locations like Japan for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Project Red. This could also be a good excuse for Ubisoft to revisit one of the most popular characters in the series. However, this is all mere speculation and should only be taken with a grain of salt. Ubisoft has announced a Showcase event for September 10, 2022. Assassin’s Creed is expected to make an appearance in this event, for sure. There’s also going to be revealed for more upcoming Ubisoft Titles. If Ezio does return, the Showcase will definitely create new hype for both new and old Assassin’s Creed fans and critics alike. So that’s pretty much it for today’s Assassin’s Creed news. Are you excited for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity live service title and do you think Ezio might be returning to the franchise?
