Before moving on with the solutions, check if your OS (Windows, Mac, etc.) and system drivers are up-to-date. Moreover, make sure the person watching the Kast stream has moderator rights. Manually mute/unmute your mic to clear out any temporary glitch. For elucidation, we will guide you for the solutions for a Windows PC.
Solution 1: Enable the Stereo Mix in the Sound Settings of Your System
Stereo Mix feature lets a user record the output stream of his computer (like speaker outputs, live, streaming audios, system sounds, etc). Kast Audio might fail to work if the Stereo Mix in the sound settings of your system is disabled. This conflicts with the operation of Kast. In this scenario, enabling the Stereo Mix may solve the problem.
Solution 2: Change the Input Device of Kast to Computer Audio
You may encounter the error at hand if the input audio of Kast is different than the computer audio. In this case, setting the input audio as the computer’s audio may solve the problem.
Solution 3: Change Output Device to Speakers/Headphones
You may encounter the audio issue if the output device of your system is set to Speakers (not Speakers/Headphones). In this context, setting the output device of your system to Speakers/Headphones may solve the problem.
Solution 4: Use a Virtual Audio Device
If nothing has worked for you, then you may have to use a virtual audio device like VB cable/Blackhole/Soundflower (2 ch) to overcome the problem.
