Whenever you do a search, the request is forwarded to Google’s server which in turn searches the query through millions of sites and returns you the result in a few milliseconds. All this computation may seem effortless but it consumes a lot of power. To counter people from attacking the website using DDOS or putting a heavy strain on the servers, Google has a mechanism which automatically blocks your access to the search engine when you do a lot of queries in a very short time. If you have not done the latter, it probably means that either your cache is corrupt or you are using a VPN. If you are using a VPN connection or a proxy server, turn it and try accessing Google again.
Solution 1: Waiting it out
Like mentioned before, this error usually occurs when you do a large number of queries within a short period of time. If you have exhausted your time limit, it is advisable to wait for a moment and don’t use Google while waiting. There were few reports where users indicated that even accessing Google once during the wait time refreshed the timer and they had to wait all over again. Once you have waited around 20-30 minutes, try accessing Google again and submit your query. Hopefully, the problem will be solved and you will have full access without any problems.
Solution 2: Clearing Cache and Cookies
Your browser may contain faulty files which may be causing Chrome to block your access again and again. When we clear the browser data, everything gets reset and the browser behaves like you are visiting websites and browsing for the first time. Note: Following this solution will erase all your browsing data, cache, passwords etc. Make sure you have all those backed up before you proceed with this solution.
Solution 3: Reinstalling Chrome or using another browser
If both the above methods don’t work, you should reinstall your Chrome browser and see if using the new version fixes the problem for you. There are hundreds of cases where some modules of the browser may be corrupt or may not be configured correctly. Reinstalling will fix that problem for you.
If this doesn’t work, you can go ahead and try another alternate browser. Try browsers like Firefox, Opera etc.
Note: You should also try changing your network and trying again. There are numerous cases where the problem lies in the network instead of the browser on your computer.
