One of the big things that went wrong with the title was its release date. Release dates have become a sensitive topic; these are determined mostly by the level of work the game requires. Marketing planners do have a say in it, but it is primarily dependent upon the “work in progress.” The game came out between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite warfare. The genre-defining franchises took player pools out of Titanfall 2, and existing players were increasingly waiting in lobbies for matchmaking. However, Steam has sort of revived the game. EA recently released its games on the popular platform at discounted prices, and Titanfall 2 quickly rose to Steam’s top charts. According to PC gamer, more than 9000 players are playing the game concurrently, and it has even surpassed the likes of Battlefield 5 and Star Wars: Battlefront 2. Keep in mind both of these games have huge fan followings. The now famous Apex Legends is also the spiritual successor of the game. It was based on some of the mechanics introduced in Titanfall 2. It could be one of the big reasons behind the unusual success of the game at such a late stage. More importantly, it could be because of the fact that people actually like the unique taste on the high-speed shooter. Regardless, if you have never experienced the game, it would be the perfect time to get your hands on it.
