The Design
Sadly, we didn’t get an image of the actual GPU, although everyone’s free to guess, right? The GPU features 3 fans and from the looks of it, the GIGABYTE 4090 ships with a 2-slot design. What’s interesting is that the actual thickness of the GPU is around 4 slots, so you’ll need a VGA holder in order to keep your motherboard safe.
The New Logo
NVIDIA’s new logo features 2 fonts, namely the old GEFORCE RTX and the new NVIDIA Sans NALA. The latter is slightly less thick. Now this indeed has sparked up some controversy in the community. Many say that the new logo looks extremely bland and quote unquote ‘weird’. To many, the biggest issue is the design of the ‘4090’. To back this up, when the RTX 4000 GPUs first showed up, many refused to even believe those pictures citing a ‘poor’ font choice.
A Possible GPU Reveal
While this is not official, the design appears almost identical to the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Gaming OC 24G. The designs below can be taken as reference. The GIGABYTE RTX 4090 could feature the same aluminium heatsink radiator configuration. In addition, elchapuzasinformatico mentions that the RTX 3090 Ti from GIGABYTE did not feature any lighting (RGB), so expect the same for its Lovelace counterpart. RTX 4090
The RTX 4090 from Lovelace ships with the AD102 GPU powered by 24GB of G6X memory. A few days ago, the TSE score of the RTX 4090 showed up and it was 3x faster than the RTX 3080 from Ampere. We expect to hear more from NVIDIA on the 20th of September at their GTC Keynote. Stay tuned for more information.
