The hacking group has previously infiltrated tech giants such as Samsung, NVIDIA, and Microsoft. Although the motive for the assaults is still unknown, several cybersecurity specialists assert that they think the organization is driven by money and fame. Yesterday, City of London Police announced that they had arrested the alleged hacker responsible of the recent data breach on Thursday night. The City of London Police detained seven further teenagers for allegedly having ties to the notorious hacking organization. After the official involvement of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and the US Department of Justice, the matter seems to be closing in. One of the most well-known data breaches in the history of the game business occurred on Sunday when more than an hour of Grand Theft Auto 6 development footage was released by an anonymous user commenting on the GTA Forums website. Following the attack, there was further information on Uber being a data breach victim when the firm disclosed that its internal systems had been breached and that the hacker had gained access to the company’s Slack channels. The Feds and other US agencies undertake extensive investigations whenever significant breaches occur. Unless the perpetrators are state-sponsored or found in locations where extradition is impossible, the attackers are often detained.
